Who we are
We build the room where every voice can be heard.
Founded in 2014 by educators, disability advocates, and community organizers, Elevated Minds has grown into a national network spanning 27 states.
Our story
Elevated Minds began as a kitchen-table conversation between four educators who refused to accept that access to civil rights education was a privilege. We started with one accessible curriculum and a borrowed conference room.
Today we're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit running accessible programs in 27 states, advising lawmakers on civil rights policy, and stewarding one of the largest open libraries of civil rights education in the country.
We measure success the way our communities do — by who shows up, who stays, and who can finally find themselves represented in the room.
